Referrers will be entered into the Bronze, Silver or Gold Prize Draw categories at the end of each season based on the number of referrals leading to filed claim that they have made during the qualification period for that draw.

Referrers will be entered once into the Bronze, Silver or Gold prize draw for each separate £50 payment they receive during the qualifying period.  

Referrers will only appear in one category, either for Bronze, Silver and Gold prize draws, based on the number of £50 payments they received during the 12 month qualifying period. 

Bronze: 1 successful referral made in the qualifying period
Silver: 2-4 successful referrals made in the qualifying period
Gold: 5 or more successful referral made in the qualifying period

Star Prize: for every new referral a customer makes during the period of 1st January 2020 to 31st March 2020, that has resulted in RIFT confirming they can make a tax refund claim as a new customer will receive an entry into the Star Prize draw, even if the claim for that customer has not yet been filed. The claim must be 'live' and the customer must be actively claiming (an action must have been taken within the last 30 days) when the draw closes to be entered. This means a customer could be entered multiple times into the draw if they make multiple ‘live’ referrals.

The Refer a Friend Seasonal Prize Draw is only open to United Kingdom residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of RIFT, their associated companies, agents, third parties or anyone else professionally connected with this scheme. Proof of residence may be required

By providing us with referral details you will be automatically entered into the Refer a Friend Seasonal Prize Draw and you (the “referrer”) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and those of the Refer A Friend Scheme

The dates for the qualifying period for each Refer a Friend Seasonal Prize Draw will be confirmed at the start of each period on the RIFT website

Bronze, Silver and Gold prizes for each Refer a Friend Seasonal Prize Draw will be announced at the start of each qualifying period on the RIFT website

Calculation of the number of successful referrals is based on the dates on which the referrer receives a payment for a filed claim, and not the date on which they made the referral 

Winners for all prize draws will be generated via a 3rd party online randomised number selection process. The unique reference number for each referrer will be entered into the randomised selector once for each successful referral made for Bronze, Silver and Gold prizes, and once only in total in a separate draw for the Star prize

Announcement of winners: RIFT will attempt to directly contact the winner of each prize during the first week of the month after the promotion quarter via telephone and email. Winners will be requested to provide quotes or testimonials to be shared via the RIFT website, and via communication of the subsequent quarterly promotion

The winner/s agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent

RIFT reserves the right to change the qualifying criteria and/or prizes for any future promotions, not yet started 

Claimants must agree to these Terms & Conditions in order to be eligible for referral payments and the Refer a Friend Seasonal Prize Draw.  Registration with RIFT and use of the Refer a Friend page on our website is considered acceptance of these Terms & Conditions

RIFT reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify referrers whom it considers do not comply with these terms and conditions

RIFT shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims including, without limitation, to require further verification as to the identity, age, and other relevant details of a claimant

RIFT’s decision is final both in relation to referral payments and promotion prize draws, and no correspondence will be entered into

RIFT will only use the personal details supplied by the referrer for the administration of the Refer a Friend scheme and for no other purpose, unless we have the referred person’s consent. RIFT may disclose personal information relating to referrers and persons referred to its agents to assist in conducting this promotion or communicating with participants. By entering the Refer a Friend scheme and quarterly promotion prize draws, the referrer agrees to release RIFT from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Refer a Friend scheme or with the acceptance, possession, attendance at or use of any coupon (except death or personal injury caused by RIFT’s negligence, for fraud, or otherwise as prohibited by law)

  • There is no cash alternative to the Star Prize
  • The card can be used as full or part payment for travel products at all TUI travel shops and superstores, excluding Southern Ireland. Gift cards can also be redeemed online at tui.co.uk or firstchoice.co.uk, but you'll need to make sure your gift card has sufficient funds for the full transaction
  • Gift cards can't be used as payment, or exchanged for, travel money-related products including currency, travellers' cheques and prepaid card
  • The card can’t be exchanged for cash or to buy another gift card
  • The expiry date is printed on the reverse of your gift card. Your gift card expiry date will be at least 1 year from the date of your purchase. For egift cards the expiry will be printed on your egift card and is 2 years from the date of purchase*
  • The maximum account balance allowed at any one time is £5,000 for gift cards and £3,000 for egift cards
  • The card must be treated as cash, and the balance can’t be refunded if it’s lost, stolen or destroyed

  • For every 1 qualifying referral made, the referrer will receive 2 entries in the Q1 Star Prize draw
