Ryan Carman ATT

Ryan’s journey with RIFT began in 2012 as an Assistant Processor. In recognition of his dedication and skill, he moved up through the ranks to take on roles as Team Leader and Operations Manager before stepping into his current leadership position nearly four years ago.

With a leadership style rooted in strong communication, Ryan is committed to creating a positive workplace culture. Ryan’s experience in the financial services industry has honed his ability to lead teams through complex challenges, always with a focus on continuous improvement. 

Holding an ATT qualification, Ryan heads an account team of 66, including specialist units to cover sectors that often produce complex claims, such as offshore work or the Armed Forces. Together, these teams handle 38,000 tax refund claims per year, worth an impressive £37M combined.

Ryan says: “At any one time, we can be working on 100 tax refund claims as a team, so we're passionate about knowing all the latest tax regulations. We also support our staff through all the training they need, and ensure they have all the necessary qualifications such as ATT. As part of that commitment, we are supporting another 4 team members to pass their ATT exams this year.”
