What’s UCATT and what does it do?

UCATT stands for the Unite Construction, Allied Trades and Technicians sector. It’s the largest trade union for the construction industry. UCATT represents all building trades in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

UCATT negotiates pay and contract terms for its members and lobbies for changes to the law, which improve working conditions for construction workers. They represent construction workers during problems at work, such as disciplinary and grievance procedures. UCATT aims to make sure construction workers are treated fairly and get basic rights such as holidays and sick pay, which leads to safer working conditions.
